Construction

Standard construction is ASTM A-36 carbon steel with full penetration welds, suitable for working pressures of 50 psi. Coatings include interior lining with “Uniflex” PVC and exterior coating of shop primer.
Other options include stainless steel, various epoxy finish coatings, flanged tanks for tight access locations, dual-cell and multiple tank arrays, and higher pressure ratings up to 200 psi.

Standard accessory items shall include backwash sight glass rated for 50 psi with polycarbonate glass, remote mounted stainless steel gauge panel with two 3½" diameter stainless steel bodied, liquid filled 0-60 psi pressure gauges, ¼" petcocks, ¼" poly tubing with compression type fittings.
Filter system typically includes the following items depending on application:
- Internal laterals, piping and splash plate
- Face piping with butterfly valves (handles, linkages, gear operators, or actuators)
- Gauge panel with gauges and tubing
- Backwash sight glass
- Manual or automatic air relief
- Bottom drain connection with media retainer
- Sacrificial anode
- Manway access
- Jack legs for leveling and height adjustment
- Filter media including rock, gravel, and sand
- Optional control panel for automatic backwash control
