ORDERING: Order by catalog number and description to expedite delivery and eliminate errors. PLEASE CAREFULLY READ THE SPECIFICATIONS OF THE ITEM YOU ARE ORDERING BEFORE PLACING AN ORDER. THIS WILL ELIMINATE INCORRECT SHIPMENTS TO YOU AND WILL AVOID DELAYS IN RECEIVING YOUR MERCHANDISE. Invoices are due net 30 days from date of invoice. A finance charge of 1-1/2% per month will be added to all accounts over 30 days past due. SHIPMENTS WILL BE C. O. D. ON ALL UNRATED OR DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS.

PRICES: Prices, unfortunately for all of us, are subject to change without notice.

WARRANTY: UNITED INDUSTRIES, INC. guarantees all products to the same extent the original manufacturer does. Most warranties from manufacturers have a time limit, usually one year, and they limit it to replacement of parts or items which are defective in workmanship or materials. The warranty is limited to replacement parts, F.O.B. the factory on return of the defective part, freight prepaid. Warranties do not cover misuse, improper installation, normal wear and tear, decay, rot or negligence on the part of any person. This guarantee is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied and of all other obligations or liabilities on our part arising from said defective parts or damage resulting therefrom.

RETURN OF MERCHANDISE: No merchandise may be returned without the express and written consent of United Industries. All returns of merchandise not construed to be defective will be subject to a 25% restocking charge. Returned merchandise must be in good order. Merchandise must be returned freight prepaid. Special order merchandise is not subject to return.

TAXES: All sales are subject to taxes where applicable. No prices or quotations include sales tax, except when shown as a separate item and listed.

FREIGHT CLAIMS

CLAIMS FOR DAMAGE IN SHIPMENT: When an item is shipped F.O.B. Sterling, the responsibility of UNITED INDUSTRIES, INC. ends with acceptance by the carrier of a shipment in good order. All claims for loss or damage must be made by you to the carrier. Either refuse to accept a damaged shipment or note the total extent of damage on the incoming bill of lading, before accepting delivery, then file your claim with the freight company.

HIDDEN OR CONCEALED DAMAGE CLAIMS: Sometimes the shipment damage is inside the package and is not visible by inspection of the outside. If this occurs, immediately upon opening the package, note the damage on the bill of lading and notify the freight company of this and ask for an inspection so a claim may be processed. This claim can only be filed by the consignee. This claim must be filed within 15 days of receipt.
